About Taylor

"Make no mistake, politics are serious business. People's lives are counting on us. But these are difficult times we're facing and the one thing I've learned in my times of adversity, is that humor is the best way to keep going when you feel like giving up. In that spirit, I welcome you to enjoy this bio page. Throughout my campaign, I will endeavor to bring you more moments of fun to remind us all not to lose faith in our future or in each other."   ~ Taylor

In my own words
for fun:
I'm spontaneous, so most of my plans happen on the spur of the moment. I love Gopher Hockey, seeing movies, hanging out with my teenage son, going bowling, or a round of mini golf, and on weekends, when I can, I go to hear my favorite band, CBO, and dance the night away.

my job:
I have over 20 years administrative support experience in the healthcare, insurance, banking and accounting industries. For the last year, in spite of my education and work experience, I have been unable to find permanent employment in my field in our recessive economy, and have had to work as a temp in order to provide for myself and my son. Additionally, I have been without medical insurance and have been fortunate that at least my son was able to be covered by his father's insurance.

goals for the future:
I would like to be the kind of leader that the people in my community feel they can work with and trust with their future. I want to work towards being a voice for those who are struggling, those, who like me, are worried about their jobs, their homes, their health, and how we're going to make this a great state again where business and families can thrive.

proudest accomplishment:
Caring for my mom when she was dying so she could live out the last six months of her life in her home, surrounded by her family and friends, with her dignity and humor still in tact.
